The artist’s own work covers a diverse and wide range of ideas. It is often inspired by nature and the culturally inherited narratives found in folklore, music, history and mythology . The intricate workings of nature and the fine line between the conscious and sub-conscious frequently feature in her work as does the wildlife and landscapes of her native Co. Wicklow.

She graduated from IADT (Institute of Art, Design & Technology) with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Fine Art (Visual Arts Practice). In 2012 she was awarded the Belmont Mill Residency shortly after graduating. Before spending four years at IADT she studied Art Foundation, Graphic Design and Photography at Stillorgan College of Further Education, Co. Dublin.

During her time in Northern Ireland Strawbridge worked with some of the top art venues and organisations in Belfast including The MAC, (The Metropolitan Arts Centre), The Crescent Arts Centre, Catalyst Arts, Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich and Young At Art. As a Co-Director at Catalyst Arts (2013- 2014), an artist led space that promotes both local and international artists, she co-curated and organised exhibitions within the space and other galleries around Northern Ireland.  She has taught in multiple venues across Northern Ireland including workshops and classes in Drawing & Sketching, Oil Painting in both Advanced and Beginners classes, Acrylic Painting, Watercolour & Ink Painting and Paper Cutting.
