Art Classes for Adults & Teens
Art classes will be running from September 2025 at the Colour Club, Ballyraine Campus, Vale Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 KN53.
The classes will be running for four week terms at a time with follow on terms continuing on from then.
Adult Painting & Drawing Classes, Sundays from the 14th of September to the 5th of October, from 10:30am to 12:30pm, €110 per term. Click to book and for full information.

Adult Drawing & Painting Classes
Join artist Brígh Strawbridge for Painting and Drawing classes on Sundays from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Colour Club, Ballyraine Campus, Vale Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 KN53. Beginning on the 14th of September, 2025. These four classes will focus on building skills and techniques in drawing and painting in a relaxed and supportive environment. Examples of what we will be focusing on are: composition, perspective, shading, observational drawing, how to use colour theory to your advantage in painting, ‘alla prima’ techniques in oils, smooth colour transition blending, brush techniques and so much more. This is very much a hands on class, you will be learning through doing! There will be a follow on four week term for those who wish to continue. A materials list of what you will need will be sent on to you after booking.
Adult Oil & Acrylic Painting Classes
Learn skills and techniques for painting in both acrylics and oils in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. This is a four week term with follow on terms available for those who wish to continue. No previous experience is necessary. During the term we will be focusing on learning about compositions, using perspective, brush techniques, blending techniques, how to use colour theory to your advantage and so much more. In general the class will focus on landscape painting for working examples but students will be choosing the subject matter of their own painting to work on throughout the class and guidance will be given no matter what the style or subject matter is. The class will focus on both the goals of the group and the individual goals of each student.
Classes will take place on Mondays from the 15th of September to the 6th of October, from 10am - 12pm at the Colour Club, Ballyraine Campus, Vale Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 KN53.
A materials list will be sent out once a student has booked.
Drawing & Sketching Classes for Teens
Learn essential skills and techniques for drawing in a relaxed and supportive environment. During the four classes we will explore drawing exercises and projects that will not only train the hand, but more importantly, train the eye. Students will also be able to share their drawing goals and choose the subject matter of a specific piece or style that they would really like to work on and gain techniques and guidance in.
This is a four week term with follow on terms available. Classes will be from 18:15 - 19:15, Thursdays from the 11th of September to the 2nd October, at the Colour Club, Ballyraine Campus, Vale Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 KN53.
Price is per term and a materials list will be sent out to students once booking is confirmed.
